Senior make-up/retake pictures will be completed on Monday, November 13th by Lifetouch Photography in the back of the Auditorium from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This will be the last chance to have your Senior picture taken at school this year. Please get your picture taken so that you will be represented in the school's yearbook.

Visual & Performing Arts Summer Governors School
June 23 – July 20, 2024
Radford University - Radford, VA
Summer Residential Governor’s Schools provide gifted high school juniors and seniors with intensive educational experience in performing arts. (Must be a current 10th or 11th grader.)
Students live on a college or university campus for up to four weeks each summer. During this time, students are involved in classroom, individual, and group projects, visiting artists, and other professionals.

Riley Field, a second-grade student at Petsworth Elementary, took on the role of leading the pledge at the School Board meeting held on October 11th. Additionally, seniors of the month, Aura Griggs and Lucas Boothe, along with Brandy Corbett, the Volunteer of the Month from Petsworth Elementary, were honored and acknowledged.
To pre-order student portraits, please visit the link on the GHS homepage. The prepay link will be active until 3-5 days after picture day. You also have an opportunity to order after picture day. Your student will be given a student specific password for their individual gallery when they have their portrait taken on November 2nd or 3rd.
